Even before they were both drafted, Bronny James and Zaccharie Risacher were already being compared in a more or less direct way. This has been the case again in recent hours following a decision by the NBA that is not going down well with some.

From an outside perspective, there is little reason to compare them, except that they belong to the same draft class.

However, Bronny James and Zaccharie Risacher have been regularly put in parallel for the past few weeks.

This is true whether it is when the Americans criticize the supposed preferential treatment received by French prospects , or in the opposite direction.

Zaccharie Risacher snubbed again in favor of Bronny James

Since their arrival in the NBA, James and Risacher have been the subject of very distinct media coverage.

However, when logic would dictate that the French 1st pick would be more talked about, it is the opposite scenario that is observed and is being debated in the US .

The league has also contributed to this phenomenon in recent hours through its posters promoting the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League:

Lakers guard Bronny James is the focus of the NBA’s advertising campaign for the Summer League in Las Vegas.

While the presence of Alexandre Sarr, the 2nd pick in the Draft, on this poster seems sensible, that of Bronny is causing more gnashing of teeth across the Atlantic. Many Internet users think that other future rookies, including Risacher, should have replaced him:

What a shame. There are so many other players who deserved their place on this poster.

1st pick isn’t even on it, I pray Risacher took note of that

Rather than highlighting the top two picks of the latest Draft, the NBA opted for an ad campaign centered around Alex Sarr… and Bronny James for the Summer League. It was up to Zaccharie Risacher to prove him wrong by shining on the court.
