Welcome to the In the most recent season of their documentary series, Wrexham has once again made mention to the notorious fan account known as “Notts County Zone.” Rob McElhenney has said that he is “obsessed” with the individual who is responsible for maintaining the profile.Wrexham and Notts County have been fierce rivals ever since Ryan Reynolds and McElhenney became the proprietors of Wrexham. This is due to the fact that both teams were actively competing for promotion in the National League from the beginning. Fans of Notts County have not exactly been welcoming of the Hollywood takeover, despite the fact that both teams have a long and illustrious history.During the 2022–2023 National League season, both Wrexham and Notts County achieved record point totals. However, the Red Dragons were able to overtake their competitors and secure the sole automatic promotion berth, as they were named champions. Wrexham and Notts County continue to be bitter rivals, despite the fact that Notts County was able to make it through the play-offs and join Wrexham in League Two during the previous season.

There is a certain Notts County fan account on X that has been highly anti-Wrexham. This account was even included on their Welcome to Wrexham series, where McElhenney was told to “Shove your —– documentary up your —-” regarding his wish to meet the fan in person. In the most recent season, which was just recently made available to the public, the account was brought up once more when Wrexham played Notts County away from home in League Two.It was the visit that Wrexham made to Meadow Lane at the beginning of the previous season that served as the climax of the most recent episode. The cameraman was subjected to abusive language, including phrases such as “Go —- your documentary” and “Disney Plus is —-,” and Reynolds and McElhenney responded to it in a manner that is characteristic of their relationship. Reynolds was told by McElhenney, “I’d like to believe that that’s Notts County Zone,” which is the name of the supporter who would be abusive.Reynolds played along and pretended to be astonished, calling McElhenney’s assertion into question. In response, the co-owner of the business said, “Mhm, as Notts County Zone is aware, he is one of my favorite Twitter accounts.” In addition, Reynolds stated, “I am following him!”

After that, McElhenney continued the prank by revealing, “I love him and I follow him as well.” It is highly likely that he will remark something along the lines of “We are obsessed with him,” and the answer to that question is that I am. After that, Reynolds made an attempt to make the rivalry seem less significant by saying, “I’m obsessed with Notts County, Incredible club.”As fantastic as they may be, they were unable to stay up with Wrexham during the previous season, and despite beginning the season in the places that would automatically qualify them for promotion, they ended up falling to the fourteenth spot. The departure of manager Luke Williams in January, while the team was in fifth place in League Two, was a devastating blow to them. Williams had signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Swansea City, which is a Championship club.

It took Notts County two weeks to find a replacement for their manager, Stuart Maynard, who had previously worked for Wealdstone. However, the team’s performance suffered a significant decline during this time. Due to the fact that Notts County only managed five wins and eleven loses in the remaining 19 games under Maynard’s leadership, the club will be preparing for another season in League Two. On the other hand, Wrexham will be playing in the third tier after receiving promotions in consecutive seasons.
