Having been resting for weeks, LeBron James is taking the opportunity to focus on his new podcast with JJ Redick.

LeBron James has been on forced vacation for a few weeks now , before competing in the Paris Olympic Games next July.

Suffice to say that the winger has time at his disposal, time which he uses to recharge his batteries at almost 40 years old, to be with his family… but also to maintain his podcast Mind The Game , launched with the former player JJ Redick during the season.

If their association now fuels rumors while the latter is tipped to become the next coach of the Lakers, the fact is that their exchanges focused on tactics and playing systems have acquired a certain notoriety on social networks.

But Shannon Sharpe, known to be a friend and supporter of the King, recently declared on First Take that the podcast would only have a limited lifespan:

If you want to start a podcast, and this is what I was telling Stephen A. Smith recently: you have to be able to adapt, you have to be able to diversify.

Because if you only talk about fundamentals and tactics, it won’t last very long. You also need to know how to talk about other things.

Currently, Mind The Game has 652,000 subscribers on Youtube and 66,500 on , fan reviews are unanimous regarding LBJ and Redick’s discussions.

It’s a change from repeated controversial declarations, after all… Sharpe was therefore lit in the process, and rightly so.

Mind The Game is not designed for trollers like First Take is.

This is not for casual fans. It’s not for the money. It’s for the love of the game.

The Mind The Game podcast may not be for everyone or as accessible as the show First Take can be , but it’s not like LeBron James or JJ Redick are doing this for money or notoriety.

Shannon Sharpe can therefore criticize as much as he wants, his opinion has absolutely no impact on this subject.
