Brendan Schaub has an interesting theory for why Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s scheduled bout has been nixed.

Brendan Schaub’s Conspiracy Theory on Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Fight Cancellation

Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub has presented a conspiracy theory regarding the recent cancellation of the highly anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The bout, originally scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium and set to be broadcast live on Netflix, was called off after Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson experienced dizziness and nausea, later attributed to an ulcer flare-up, leading doctors to advise him against training.

While the official explanation for the cancellation is Tyson’s health concerns, Schaub, now a successful podcaster, suggests there might be more to the story. He speculates that the true plan may involve a fight between the Paul brothers, Jake and Logan, inside the boxing ring.

“Years ago when I had Logan on, he said the ultimate plan – this ends with me and my brother fighting,” Schaub said on his Thiccc Boy podcast. “Here’s a question. Put my tinfoil hat on. Was this the plan all along? Here’s another question for you guys. What gets more – Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul or Jake Paul versus Logan Paul?

Schaub argues that a fight between Jake and Logan Paul could attract more viewers than a match with Tyson. “I’m not saying on YouTube, on Netflix. Because if you take Mike Tyson out of that fight, my dad’s not watching it. My dad’s not watching Logan Paul. But a ton of youngsters who vape and are confused about their pronouns are gonna tune in.”

He continued, “What do I think gets more views overall? Jake Paul versus Logan Paul. Because you’re going to get their fanbases, which is bigger than Mike Tyson’s.”

Schaub’s comments follow a social media exchange between the Paul brothers, with Logan suggesting himself as a replacement fighter. Meanwhile, Jake Paul has been trying to entice rival KSI, who is also Logan Paul’s business partner, into a fight.

Jake Paul took to X (formerly Twitter) to address KSI’s current weight, writing, “KSI’s coach saying he is over 200lbs right now? So no weight excuses… Let’s run it for July 20th and then Paul Tyson in October / November.”

As all parties remain hopeful that the Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight will take place later this year, Schaub’s theory adds an intriguing twist to the unfolding narrative. Whether the Paul brothers will eventually face off remains to be seen, but the speculation continues to stir excitement and curiosity among fans.
