Shaquille O'Neal Apologizes to Stephon Marbury After Mocking Ex-NBA Star's Luxury Purchaseư

Leading the Wolves to consecutive playoffs, two All-Star selections, and CBA championships and titles – those aren’t the only things that make Starbury.

The most eyecatching (pun intended) feature of Stephon Marbury is his favorite accessory, his eyewear.

While transitioning from playing to coaching in China, Marbury has redefined himself as a brandmaker bringing Chamelo, his collection of smart eyewear.

It seamlessly blends his signature style with innovative technology to create color-changing sunglasses.

And they might be becoming Shaquille O’Neal’s favorite accessory too.

Enough to elicit a public apology out of the big man for being sceptical of his sunglasses.

Marbury appeared on The Big Podcast this week from Beijing at the wee hours on the other side of the world.

But even over a 7,000 miles away in Atlanta, Shaq got his hands on a pair of Chamelos he wore throughout the episode.

The color change feature was his favorite toy. He not only conveyed it to Marbury, he confessed he finally understood the appeal.

Towards the end of the show, he surprised Marbury when he said, “I owe you an apology.” But he didn’t keep him in suspense about the reason. “You know how like when you see stuff on the ‘Gram, so like when you kept doing that and they [the sunglasses] kept changing, I would make this face.” And he demonstrated the signature Shaq stink-eye. So O’Neal apparently was annoyed when Marbury’s glasses changed color, which is their USP.

That very featured converted him to the comfort of color-adjusting bright side.

Now that I got them I apologize, these motherf**kers are rocking!” O’Neal said leaving Marbury laughing away at 3 a.m. in China. Marbury even offered more Chamelo lenses to Shaq if he came to Beijing to hang out. Not a farfetched possibility.

Starbury has Shaq’s seal of approval

It’s not hard to entice Shaq with the latest tech. He plays around with his drones backstage at TNT and is so addicted to Apple Vision Pro, he forgets when he’s not got them on. The Chamelo glasses might be his newest addiction.

Using its proprietary lense technology, Chamelo Eyewear is the newest trend in athleisure.

Marbury’s Music Shield may look like the most stylish pair of ski goggles but they’re more than that.

With customizable tint, they can adapt to your workouts. Marbury was overselling a tad to Shaq that the glasses also come with Bluetooth audio.

But there was no need. Shaq endorsed it on the show and made Marbury inform The Big Podcast viewers on how they can find a pair of Music Shields of their own.
