“100% He’ll Win” Former Heavyweight Champion Has No Doubt Terence Crawford Will Beat Canelo

The buzz surrounding a potential fight between Terence Crawford and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez continues to generate interest, even though the bout was previously dismissed by its financial backer, Turki Alalshikh. Both fighters are regarded as among the best in the world, but they come from different weight classes and backgrounds.

Canelo, a Mexican boxing icon, currently holds three of the four major belts at super-middleweight and has achieved championships in divisions ranging from light-middleweight to light-heavyweight. On the other hand, Terence Crawford, hailing from Omaha, is a naturally smaller fighter who has been the undisputed champion at both lightweight and welterweight. He now holds the WBA 154 lbs belt after defeating Israil Madrimov in his last fight.

“I think it’s Terence. I have a feeling he’s knocking everybody out, he’s cool, he’s not nervous. Terence Crawford.”

Bowe also commented on the mentality of modern fighters compared to those from his era.

“There is no comparison. If they fought me back in the day, they don’t think the way they made us think.”

Despite the difference in size and experience between Crawford and Canelo, Bowe confidently backed Crawford to move up in weight and defeat the Mexican star if they ever met in the ring.

“Think about it, if his people thought he couldn’t do it, he wouldn’t be doing it. I think 100% he’ll win the fight. It will be a great fight.”
