This Morning fans have called out Josie Gibson as she became ‘flustered’ while interviewing Lucien Laviscount.

The presenter, 39, and co-host Craig Doyle, 53, sat down to chat to the hunky actor, 32, about the new series of Emily In Paris on Friday’s show, with Craig humorously quipping: ‘You’re too handsome for my liking!’

However, when Lucien then broke into his character Alfie’s cockney accent, a blushing Josie found herself fumbling over her words and even began to fan herself as she got all hot and bothered.

Struggling to compose herself, Josie giggled nervously and profusely apologised, while Lucien laughed along in good humour.

Later as the chat neared its end, Craig pointed to Lucien’s bulging arms as he remarked: ‘I’ve only noticed those biceps, I don’t like them!’

To which Josie cut in: ‘You’ve only just noticed them?!’

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to rib Josie over her actions as they pointed out how flustered she was.

They shared: ‘Aww look at josie getting all flustered; ‘Josie, stop dribbling.’

‘I like Josie but is she ok today?’; ‘Good Lord, Josie’s got a wide on for this lad.’

Meanwhile, aside from the flirtatious exchange, Lucien opened up on how he bagged the role of Alfie Peterson in the Netflix show.

He explained: ‘We sent the tape off and about an hour later, we got a phone call saying, Darren [Star] and Lily [Collins] want to Zoom with you tomorrow…

‘Lily bless her, it’s Friday and she’d done a whole week at work, she’s done a full day, and she was on this call just fresh as a daisy and just willing to have this chat. We spoke for 45 minutes and I have no idea what we spoke about because I was just constantly thinking about my lines, not messing it up.

‘And then that was it, the chat was ended. I was like, “You don’t want me to read?”. It was like, “No, it’s fine.” Then, yeah, I got a phone call saying, “You fly to Paris on Monday”. That was it and I was only supposed to do two episodes.’

On working with Lily, he shared: ‘She’s so lovely and she’s honestly, so professional and welcoming, and everything you’d expect, you’d want to expect from a leading lady in a show like that, and the just the time she has for everyone on set is truly, truly wonderful.’

The star also credited David Beckham for helping kick start his early career as he explained: ‘I got scouted to do this job. When I was about 10 years old, I was in Manchester window shopping with my mum and we got scouted to do this Marks and Spencer’s campaign with David Beckham.’

Lucien went on: ‘Then he had – I was a bit cheeky and a bit naughty – he had an acting school in Manchester, and I went to a couple of classes, and that’s how it started. So yeah, big up David Beckham. Cheers mate!’

It comes after fans were left far from impressed earlier on the show as it kicked off with a cringey dance segment.

Viewers branded the car crash intro ‘the worst opening to a show ever’ as hosts Josie and Craig showcased their dodgy dance moves while reminiscing about their favourite 90s tunes.

Joined by Gyles Brandreth and Tim Campbell, Josie opened the show, declaring: ‘Hello and welcome to your Friday’s This Morning’, as Craig  then explained ‘We do have a reason for doing this, we are kicking off your Friday with some 90s tunes starting with Rhythm of the Night, a favourite of Josie’s.’

As she bopped along, Josie remarked: ’90s music, absolutely fantastic’, before turning to Tim and Gyles to ask what their favourite track was from that era.

After they named Soul to Soul by Back to Life and Will Smith’s Getting Jiggy With It as their preferred tracks from the time, Craig noted that pop music wasn’t his thing and instead was more of a rocker.

He shared: ‘I was going down a very musical path at this stage in my life. There was no pop music. It would have been Nirvana…it would have been Smells Like Teen Spirit.’

The track then blared out loudly in the studio, with Craig, Josie, Gyles and Tim then proceeding to jump wildly around.

But as Craig got into the swing of things, Josie soon put a halt to proceedings as she huffed: ‘No, oh no, it is too much for me!’

And it appeared to be too much for viewers too as they rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about the segment.
