Caitlin Clark deserves a break.

The Indiana Fever rookie sensation has played 62 high-level regular season games in the past seven months. And that doesn’t include the countless practices, scrimmages, workouts, preseason, and WNBA All-Star Games Clark has taken part in.

Combine this with all of the media obligations and time spent in the spotlight the 22-year-old has had to juggle, it’s no surprise that she said, “I can’t wait to not touch a basketball,” when discussing the WNBA’s month-long Olympics break during the 2024 All-Star Weekend’s media day.

But a recent comment Clark left on her photographer’s Instagram post suggests she may be experiencing a change of heart.

On Tuesday, Lewerke posted a series of Instagram photos of Clark and the Indiana Fever with the caption, “Who else is already missing Fever basketball?”

“Me,” Clark responded.

Lewerke responded to Clark’s comment by saying, “only 24 days until your next game but who’s counting”.

It seems that despite what Clark said about being excited about taking time off, she’s already missing her time with the Fever.
