GB News: Eamonn Holmes says Meghan Markle calls the shots with Prince Harry

Eamonn Holmes issued a blunt verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship.

During Wednesday’s instalment (July 10) of GB News, Eamonn and co-host Isabel Webster spoke to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield about claims that Harry, 39, is feeling lonely in America. lime

Isabel said: “I can only imagine the culture shock that Harry has faced arriving there. This is a kid that has grown up in castles, went to Eton college, holidayed walking across British country estates on horseback, playing polo. There isn’t an awful lot of that that happens in California.”

The 41-year-old pointed out that the Duke of Sussex will likely have few friends in the States, supporting the idea that he could be feeling “very lonely”.

Kinsey agreed as she listed the dramatic changes Harry has faced in his life over the last few years, claiming he now worries about paying his bills. lime

The 39-year-old said: “Four years ago the man learned how to pay his phone bill. Four years ago his schedule was handed to him and somebody else was managing his day and money.

“Now he goes to bed every night worrying about how he’s going to pay the mortgage, how he’s going to pay for security and certainly how he’s going to pay this incredible PR team.”

Eamonn, 64, interjected: “Well, I’ve got a suggestion, stop spending the money then. It’s as simple as that.” Kinsey added that Harry now has “adult responsibilities” that he wouldn’t have had to deal with if he hadn’t distanced himself from the royal family.

She explained that Harry has responsibilities that “you and I struggle with,” leading Eamonn to question whether Meghan, 42, is causing the problem. He probed: “I understand what he struggles with, but then what is the issue? Is she the problem?”

“Eamonn you are feisty this morning,” a shocked Kinsey responded, agreeing that Meghan has “created a lot of roadblocks” for her husband. Delivering a brutal verdict on the couple, the former This Morning presenter declared: “She calls the shots.”

He added: “It’s quite obvious. It’s where her career is going, what she is interested in, who she wants around her,” concluding: “It’s all about her.”
