Shaquille O’Neal was asked about which team he would like to join in the current NBA.
“Nobody will beat us!” Shaquille O’Neal wants to play for current Warriors roster with Steph Curry and Draymond Green

Shaquille O’ Neal speaks on joining the Warriors

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most dominant centers the NBA has ever seen. During his prime, Shaq dominated the league with his presence in the paint. Prime Shaquille O’Neal, when playing for any team, will have serious championship potential. As such, co-host Adam Lefkoe asked about the team he would want to play for in the current NBA.

O’Neal picked the Golden State Warriors and said he would want to play with Stephen CurryKlay Thompson, and Draymond Green. It was a really smart answer, as the Warriors have been one of the greatest teams in the NBA but have always lacked scoring in the post. As such, O’Neal being one of the best post scorers, the Warriors would become virtually undefeatable.

Golden State... You’d have to double me, Draymond [Green] would average 10 more points… And I’d kick it out to Steph [Curry] & Klay [Thompson], & nobody would beat us.

Shaq even said some strategies he would use while playing for the dubs. Lefkoe hilariously asked the four-time NBA champion how many three-pointers he would attempt per game. To which O’Neal replied he would only go for deep threes just for entertainment purposes while playing for the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors, in their prime, remained the most dominant team in the last decade. Pairing prime Shaq with the Warriors could result in one of the most entertaining teams in NBA history. It is a whole other world full of hypotheticals, just like how Shaq and Green debated the three-peat Lakers vs. the 2015 Warriors.

Draymond Green and Shaquille O’Neal argued over Lakers vs Warriors prime teams

Draymond Green joined Shaquille O’Neal on The Big Podcast with Shaq sometime back. The duo had a debate on which championship team was better between the 2000 Lakers and the 2015 Warriors. Green said that the Warriors would beat them and also talked about defensive plans on guarding O’Neal.

O’Neal couldn’t buy into the defensive strategies put on him and pointed out that defenders would get into foul trouble guarding him. Green also noted that he wouldn’t be able to guard O’Neal alone, but he would make him work for every point and force him to play in a different way. Check out the exchange from the tweet below:

This led Shaquille O’Neal to ask Draymond Green on who would guard Kobe Bryant from the Warriors. Green said Klay Thompson would guard Bryant, and O’Neal was left unimpressed. As entertaining as it might be watching both teams play in their prime, it would not come to fruition. As such, correctly predicting who comes out on top remains a mystery.
