An interesting trade that would see Brandon Aiyuk leave the San Francisco 49ers has hit the rumor mill following a critical development in the saga regarding the wide receiver.
It doesn’t appear that things have gotten any better between the team and player on the back of February’s Super Bowl disappointment, and a departure looks likely.
Aiyuk is fanning the flames himself as he’s recently taken to TikTok to post a video in which he’s heard telling Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels he’s no longer wanted in San Francisco.
“They said they don’t want me back, I swear,” he said.
Should the parties fail to come to an agreement on a long-term deal, it would be in their best interest to facilitate a trade.
Brandon Aiyuk Rumored Reportedly Being Considered By The Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns star Amari Cooper’s name has been floated as a potential target for the Niners.
“We have heard that a Amari Cooper for Brandon Aiyuk trade may be an option for the Browns and 49ers,” the account tweeted.
“The Browns want to get younger at WR, while the 49ers will only keep one of Samuel or Aiyuk longterm as they are thrilled with Ricky Pearsall.”
Cooper recorded 72 catches for a career-high 1,250 receiving yards and five touchdowns last season. He’s considered to be one of the most exciting receivers in the league right now, and he seems like a great option for the Niners.
Time will tell whether there’s any truth to this rumor, but it’s clear that the relationship between Aiyuk and his team hasn’t improved over the last few weeks.
