Los Angeles Lakers NBA player Bronny James
NBA (DR)

More scrutinized than any 55th overall pick in history, Bronny James has struggled to meet fans’ expectations in Summer League. Faced with these difficulties, a former Lakers player sent him a… special message.

Although he has been used to the spotlight since his earliest childhood, he still seems to be able to cope with the extraordinary attention he receives.

Bronny James is having a difficult start on the NBA scene, having shown himself to be very delicate on the Summer League courts.

The scathing comments of an NBA star during one of his matches certainly didn’t help.

Nick Young’s Wacky Advice for Bronny James

Beyond just fans and observers, many league figures have been closely following Bronny’s performances over the past few days.

Particularly in the Lakers environment, where no gifts will visibly be made to him.

Nick Young, who played for the franchise between 2013 and 2017, for example, gave him his message for the young guard and gave him some funny recommendations for success:

Nick Young: Bronny is not a 3-and-D player, stop saying things to be polite. Bronny can play, but take away those Tyler Perry-esque braids that bring you bad luck lol. And play with the confidence of a Thanasis (Antetokounmpo). Like, I would love for a guy to tell me something and I could threaten to fire him. Play like, “My dad runs the NBA, no one can test me.”

Have fun on the floor and miss your shots with confidence, they’ll end up falling in them @BronnyJamesJr

Not to mention the fact that he didn’t mention the right account at the end of his tirade, “Swaggy P” here addresses some rather bizarre advice to the Angelino rookie.

It remains to be seen whether this advice helped him find his colors again this Wednesday, against Atlanta:

Never afraid of taking the slightest shot during his NBA career, Nick Young therefore invites Bronny James to follow his example and to show much more confidence in order to perform. A method that has rather succeeded for the neo-Laker in recent hours.
