Oleksandr Usyk savaged Jake Paul by telling him to “stop boxing” ahead of his fight against Mike Tyson – before the showdown was delayed until November.

Paul and Tyson raised plenty of eyebrows after announcing that the YouTuber and heavyweight boxing legend – 30 years his senior – would face off in a money-spinnning bout aired on Netflix.

However, after “Iron Mike” suffered a bout of dizziness and nausea while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, his doctors ordered him to stop training until his condition improved.

The fight has been re-organised for November 15 at the At&T Stadium in Texas, though Usyk previously mocked Paul when the showdown was first revealed.

A man of few words, the undisputed heavyweight champion simply told him to “stop boxing” amid a wave of criticism aimed at the American for taking on a fighter three decades older than him.

He also took aim at KSI when asked about the British internet personality, labelling him as a “blogger”. KSI and Paul have been in talks to face off for a number of years and discussions are still ongoing.

Usyk himself is preparing for a fight at the end of the year – a rematch against Tyson Fury on December 21 after outpointing the Gypsy King to claim his WBC world title belt and become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

Usyk is not the only figure who has been critical of Paul since taking on the Tyson fight, with Eddie Hearn calling the match up “very sad”.

But Paul – who instead defeated bare knuckle fighter Mike Perry instead last month – has hit back at those critics and insisted Tyson still believes he will “rip his head off”, despite concerns around the 57-year-old’s age.

“Tell Mike Tyson that. Because he does not give a s*** what anyone thinks. He’s his own boss. He wants to fight me. He told my team, ‘I don’t give a s*** about this. Like, tell Jake I’m still going to rip his head off and knock him the f*** out. And this just bought him more time.”
