MVP Co-owner Reveals Real Reason Jake Paul vs. KSI Fell Through Multiple Times, Trainer BJ Flores Remains Hopeful

YouTubers-turned-boxers, Jake Paul and KSI have been the torch-bearers in the influencer boxing scene since their initial foray into the ring in 2018. There have been instances in which KSI and ‘The Problem Child’ have issued online challenges, calling out each other for a fight. Despite the excitement both fighters and fans have shown about the showdown, this hasn’t materialized yet. Amidst this, Paul’s trainer BJ Flores, and MVP co-owner Nakisa Bidarian have shed some light on the possibility of the bout happening.

MVP Co-owner Reveals Real Reason Jake Paul vs. KSI Fell Through Multiple Times, Trainer BJ Flores Remains Hopeful

KSI has gone head-to-head with Jake’s brother Logan Paul twice inside the squared circle. However, KSI and Jake have been at loggerheads for over five years, talking about settling scores inside the ring. While this has been the case, Most Valuable Promotions co-owner Nakisa Bidarian believes, “I don’t think it’s about not happening. I think it’s a matter of does it happen, when does it happen.”

Bidarian explained that he doesn’t like to negotiate in public. In addition, he took a dig at KSI’s team and stated, “When his representation is constantly taking a public position on Jake Paul, on MVP, on myself, its just not who I wanna do business with. It’s not who Jake wants to do business with. Jake Paul-KSI is a great fight. I think it’s an exciting fight. But it’s gonna be on terms that makes sense in the background between ourselves, DAZN, and Wasserman.”

The MVP co-owner discussed this on sports journalist Ariel Helwani’s show. MVP Promotions shared a short clip of Bidarian speaking. Following this, BJ Flores agreed with what Bidarian said and wrote, “100% correct. Negotiations to take place behind closed doors. Hope it happens.”

Two prominent figures from Paul’s team have hinted towards the possibility of the clash, giving fans some assurance about the much-anticipated fight. While Bidarian criticized KSI’s team, the British fighter had also shared his side of the story and this seemed like a completely different tale.

KSI claims Jake Paul is afraid of him

Following KSI’s victory over Logan Paul in their rematch, the social media celebrity from Britain began teasing Jake Paul about a potential battle. Even after KSI and Logan put their differences aside and went on to become business partners, Jake couldn’t come to terms with his brother’s defeat. This made ‘The Problem Child’ eager to square off against KSI. But KSI believes that despite all that Jake says, he doesn’t want to fight him.

KSI shared with his fans, “I know some of you want the Jake Paul vs. KSI fight to happen. It’s been fu**ing 5 plus years. It’s not gonna happen. Jake Paul doesn’t want to fight me. He’s terrified of me.”

While one can’t really be sure if Paul is afraid of KSI, only time will tell if both parties come to terms and make the fight happen. What are your views about this potential match-up? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
