Buster Douglas Has No Doubt Who Wins Mike Tyson-Jake Paul After Famously Knocking Tyson Out

Mike Tyson will attempt to roll back the years when he faces Jake Paul on November 15.

It will be the former undisputed heavyweight champion’s first pro bout – albeit with softer rules – since an underwhelming loss against Kevin McBride in 2005.

That was only the sixth defeat of Tyson’s career and the first remains one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. James ‘Buster’ Douglas travelled to Tokyo as a 42/1 underdog with one bookmaker but survived an eighth round knockdown to stop undefeated Tyson in the tenth and take home all three belts.

Speaking to Gambling Zone on his rival’s ring return, Douglas predicted it would be the end of Paul’s short stint in boxing.

“It’s not going to be good for Jake. I don’t think there will be much of a boxing career left for Paul afterwards. I think once Mike gets rid of him, that’s it for his boxing career.”

The YouTuber-turned-fighter has 10 wins – mostly coming over retired MMA fighters – and one loss in his campaign so far. He is the betting favourite to overcome Tyson mainly due to the near-30 year age gap.

Douglas advised him to keep moving come fight night but ultimately believes it will be ‘a piece of cake’ for ‘Iron’ Mike.

“The best scenario for Paul is to just last the entire fight, say he went the distance with Mike Tyson. Keep his hands up and duck those haymakers because they’re going to be coming. Paul will be intimidated by those haymakers, they’re like rockets.

Keep moving Paul, don’t stand in front of him, don’t stand on the train tracks. I look at it like an easy win. It will be the easiest win of his career. At 65 years old it may be tough, but at 58 it will be a piece of cake.”
