Tyson Fury finds unlikely ally in Tony Bellew as former world champion praises his ‘impact’ on the sport

Tony Bellew has praised Tyson Fury in a recent interview.

Fury failed in his bid to become undisputed heavyweight champion when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk.

Speaking to IFL TV, he said:

“Based on the last performance, no, you can’t, you can’t make it, you can’t make a call for that, but has he got a chance 100%?”

The Liverpudlian then went on to praise ‘The Gypsy King’s’ impact on the heavyweight division.

He continued: “I wish him well. I hope he does come back. I hope I hope he’s enjoying life because he deserves to. He’s got a wonderful family, I only wish him well.”
