During a recent episode of the PatBev Podcast, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas was asked about his top five generational talents. In response, the 42-year-old retired NBA player listed some legendary players.
“Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama, and Kevin Durant.” Arenas said during the podcast, “I know Zion [Williamson] and Ja [Morant] are supposed to be generational.”
The list sparked a debate among fans due to the omission of key players whom many believe should have been included. Some fans, specifically, questioned the inclusion of Magic Johnson, arguing that he did not qualify as a generational talent, and criticized Arenas for his choice. Many fans ridiculed Arenas for not including Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.
Some fans also felt the former Washington Wizards star deliberately snubbed Curry due to their long-term rivalry. Earlier, Arenas had also claimed that Curry is not a generational talent.
