Kings Executives Eyeing DeRozan to Elevate Playoff Chances

The Kings executives are interested in signing DeRozan, who is currently a free agent. Their goal is to build a team that can compete in the playoffs for an extended period. Adding DeRozan to the Kings’ roster could significantly strengthen the team. The Bulls star’s amazing skills and scoring ability could improve the Kings’ chances of making a deep playoff run. His presence would not only enhance the team’s on-court performance but also provide mentorship to younger players, ultimately boosting the team’s future prospects.

DeRozan delivered multiple dominant performances for the Bulls in the recent season. According to StatMuse, He averaged 24.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 79 games during the 2023-24 season.

According to a recent report from NBA analyst Chris Haynes, the Chicago Bulls guard has shown no interest in signing a $13 million Mid-Level Exception contract. The Miami Heat were said to be one of the teams interested in signing the 34-year-old forward. Haynes mentioned that in order to sign him, the Lakers and Heat would have to find creative ways to work around their salary cap.
