During a recent episode of the Roommates Show by Playmakers, hosts Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart gave their opinions about the Mikal Bridges Trade. Brunson and Hart expressed their surprise at the trade. Hart explained that the Nets fans are saying some random stuff about the Bridges trade.

Jalen Brunson: I never thought it would happen, because, when’s the last time the Nets made a trade with the Knicks?”

Josh Hart: “1983.”

Jalen Brunson: “When we used to see each other after games, everyone would be like, ‘Oh these guys are recruiting.’ I was like, well, it’s never gonna happen.”

Josh Hart: “You don’t really think it’s gonna happen but you’re like, let me mess with Mikal because that’s my guy. Then Nets fans just be saying random stuff all the time, so it was poking fun at the Nets a little.”

Nets Star Bridges Makes Big Move to Knicks in Blockbuster Trade

After an impressive season with the Brooklyn Nets, Bridges was traded to the New York Knicks on June 25, 2024. The trade involved Bojan Bogdanović, Mamadi Diakite, Shake Milton, four unprotected first-round picks, an unprotected pick swap, a top-four protected first-round pick, an unprotected second-round pick, as well as Keita Bates-Diop and a second-round pick.

Bridges delivered outstanding performances in the 2023-24 season, including a career-high 45 points in a 116–105 victory over the Miami Heat. According to StatMuse, the 27-year-old forward maintained averages of 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 82 games this season.

After OG Anunoby opted out of the final year of his existing deal with the New York Knicks, Brunson was surprised with the deal and posted a hilarious reaction on his social media account on X (formerly known as Twitter).
