Basketball fans call out nepotism in Bryce James’ ranking
Despite this recognition, not all observers agree with his position.
“Bryce James being a top-100 recruit is significantly worse than anything Bronny-related over the last two years,” college basketball insider Kevin Sweeney remarked, echoing a sentiment shared by fellow analyst Jeff Goodman, who stated, “Bryce James is not a Top 100 player right now.”
Some fans and commentators suggest that Bryce’s last name has influenced his ranking.
Comments on social media reflect skepticism, with one fan writing, “You can’t do that at peach jam and be top 100 I’m sorry James family,” and another adding, “Wish my last name was James.”
Criticisms also included, “He’s not even top 100 lol these James boys overrated,” and “Fake recruiting rankings.”
However, not all reactions were negative.
Some fans believe Bryce has significant potential if given the opportunity.
