Bronny James has frequently been in the headlines in the last couple of weeks, especially around the NBA Draft. Since he arrived in the league, the young guard has been receiving heavy criticism because of his relationship with LeBron James. Some support also came his way, and the latest one would surely melt everyone’s heart.

Bronny’s grandmother and LeBron’s mother, Gloria, penned a heartwarming message to Junior James about his recent achievement. Gloria posted pictures of her grandson on Instagram and chose to share her emotions in the captions. She wrote how Bronny’s draft on the second night made her recall the first time she saw him as a newborn.

Moreover, Gloria stated, “Over the years of his life, I’ve watched him grow into the AMAZING young man that he is today. And how proud and how honored I am to be his grandmother.” She expressed her happiness that Bronny could accomplish his dreams through his hard work.

Having seen her son establish a remarkable career in the NBA, Gloria would wish the same for Bronny. Even though the younger one doesn’t possess the same abilities as his father, the 19-year-old can sharpen his skills while playing with his superstar father in the Purple and Gold. However, recent reports suggest the Lakers have a different plan for the former USC guard.

Bronny James’ Developmental Curve in Lakers Revealed

There was much hype about Bronny joining the Lakers and appearing on the hardwood with LeBron. As hoop enthusiasts eagerly wait to witness the first father-son duo in the league step on the court together, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski shared a different plan.

According to the NBA Insider, there is a high chance that the Lakers will make Bronny appear on their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, for most of his rookie season. (After 2:20 min)

Even in his USC days, Bronny majorly came off the bench, but to grow as a player, G-League could be a better option for younger James.
