Recently, a video from Paris sparked concern about team harmony, showing Joel Embiid seemingly giving veteran leaders LeBron James and Kevin Durant a dirty look.
TikTok creator Sergio Donte narrated the footage, capturing the Olympic team traveling together in France. “You gotta notice Embiid’s vibe,” he commented. “Why the look of disgust? It’s LeBron, man.”
He continued, “And then check out his reaction to KD. He’s giving him the side-eye. What’s going on, Embiid?”
With tensions potentially brewing, the focus remains on keeping the team united in their quest for Olympic gold.
Why was Embiid upset?
The TikTok comments were buzzing with theories about the reason behind Embiid’s disgruntled look. Some speculated it was due to frustration with his playing time, while others joked that “his knees just hurt.” Another popular theory was that he felt left out when the basketball team bonded with the American table tennis squad.
Some commenters suggested he was noticing how “fried” his teammates appeared, enjoying a few drinks on their off day.
