Following Jennifer Lopez’s divorce filing from Ben Affleck Tuesday, Dailymail.com is taking a closer look at the financial fallout of the couple’s split, with their cumulative net worth estimated at $640 million.

Tuesday’s filing came after months of speculation swirling around the relationship between the A-list singer-actress, 55, and actor-director, 52, with their relationship woes dominating the Hollywood headlines in recent months.

Lopez filed divorce docs to end her marriage to Affleck without an lawyer in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday, with insiders revealing there’s ‘no prenuptial agreement’ between the pair, and Lopez did not mention one in legal papers.

Lopez, who listed the separation date in court docs of April 26, 2024, filed the documents on the two-year anniversary of their nuptials at Affleck’s estate outside of Savannah, Georgia on August 20, 2022.

The absence of a prenuptial agreement indicates that the earnings the stars pulled in amid their two years together would be classified as ‘community property,’ TMZ reported.

Property empire to be divided

One major asset the estranged couple will need to agree on is a $60.85 million home in Beverly Hills, California that they purchased last year.

The former couple listed the home – which has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms – in June for $65 million, then relisted it after making recent renovations for $68 million.

The home in the tony Southern California neighborhood arrived last month of the market after further work was done on the abode, which took Lopez and Affleck two years to pick out.

The mansion spans 38,000 square-feet, and state tax law might play a part in the increased price tag, as California taxes homes sold for a minimum of $10 million with a 5.5 percent charge, TMZ reported last month.

The listing on the abode had been held by The Agency, a real estate firm owned by Bravo personality Mauricio Umansky.

Affleck moved out of the Beverly Hills home and has since plunked down $20.5 million on a mansion in the Pacific Palisades, California.

Both entertainers have worked steadily in the two years they have been wed: Affleck’s projects in that timespan include the 2023 movies Air (which he also directed) and Hypnotic, according to iMDb.

Affleck also made appearances in 2023’s The Flash and 2024’s Jennifer Lopez in This Is Me… Now. He has finished shooting the The Accountant 2, in which he reprises the role of Christian Wolff from the 2016 motion picture.

Other acting projects he has in the works include a film called Witness for the Prosecution, which is in development; and a film titled RIP, which is in the pre-production phase.

Affleck has a number of professional endeavors he’s involved in as a producer, including projects such as the aforementioned The Accountant 2 and Witness for the Prosecution. He is listed as an executive producer on a TV movie called Thirst, a sports drama titled Flash Before the Bang and a Hugh Jackman movie titled Apostle Paul.

Other projects he is listed as a producer on include a film called Keeper of the Lost Cities, which he is slated to direct and star; and the film Animals, which he is slated to direct, which stars his longtime friend Matt Damon.

Two projects clearly complicated by Tuesday’s news are joint ventures he is involved in with Lopez: a musical adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman and Unstoppable, both of which she stars in.

Unstoppable, which features a cast including Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle, is slated to debut next month at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

William Goldenberg, who Affleck has previously collaborated on films such as 2023’s Air and 2012’s Argo, directed the film.

She is also slated to appear in two films Affleck is listed as a producer on – Unstoppable and Kiss of the Spider Woman – and is slated to star opposite Dira Zays in a film titled The Godmother.

Like her estranged husband, Lopez has also had a number of projects she’s been listed as a producer on, including her movies Atlas, This Is Me… Now, Shotgun Wedding and The Mother.

For forthcoming projects, Lopez is an executive producer on the films The Godmother and Kiss of the Spider Woman, as well as a producer on the upcoming animated movie Bob the Builder.

Lopez is also an executive producer on the series Good Trouble.

She has also released a number of music videos in that time, including 2024’s Rebound, 2024’s Can’t Get Enough, 2024’s Can’t Get Enough (Remix) with Latto, 2024’s Love Jennifer Lopez More in Dolby Atmos, and 2022’s Marry Me with Maluma.

In April, Lopez revealed she was getting into the booze business, as she had founded a brand of alcoholic beverages called Delola Spritz.

‘The secret is out!!! I’m proud to share with you @DELOLA … my new collection of unique, mixology-level ready to enjoy spritzes,’ Lopez said. ‘Let’s live the #DelolaLife together.’

In a news release in April, Lopez said she founded the The House Of Delola LLC ‘to launch unique, mixology-level ready-to-enjoy cocktails designed for elegant, effortless entertaining as part of a thoughtful lifestyle.’

She added, ‘I love entertaining and to relax and unwind with friends, but never found a drink that was right for me.

‘I was in search of something that I could enjoy that fit the thoughtful way that I live my life. When I didn’t find it, I decided to create Delola.’

Lopez said she was striving to create a product that boasted ‘better ingredients, better taste [and] fewer calories than traditional cocktails.’

The superstar singer added, ‘I knew that if I was looking, others were too … something easy, fun, fresh and delicious.

‘Delola gives people the freedom to enjoy – free from the cutting, squeezing, and mixing, free from the stress of entertaining, free to make ordinary moments extraordinary. Each one is bottled up in a beautiful glass bottle and ready to serve.’

In court docs, Lopez said she was waiving spousal support and requested the court not give Affleck any either, according to the outlet.

Lopez and Affleck ‘have been trying to hash out a settlement for months,’ according to the outlet, adding that insiders said that the negotiations have been ‘increasingly acrimonious’ at times, with the two not taking to one another directly.

Last month, The Blast reported Lopez had been ‘gearing up for a messy divorce’ and that she was aiming at acquiring half of the $150 million Affleck owns.

Lopez had paid many expenses during the two-year marriage, insiders told Radar Online in July, noting that Affleck had ‘grumbled about spending money.’

Sources told Radar Online that amid the parting, Lopez felt that Affleck had ‘mooched’ off of her wealth, and was subsequently ‘demanding a full inventory of what she spent versus what he spent and wants all the money back she “invested.”

‘She isn’t the one who gave up on their marriage and she’s feeling seriously burned and is out for blood.’

The insider noted that Lopez’s pursuit of financial recompense was in direct response to Affleck’s conduct amid the end of the relationship.

‘If he had stayed in the marriage like a good boy, she wouldn’t have minded,’ the source said. ‘But he abandoned her and ultimately, Jennifer always gets payback and now she’s ready to play hardball.’

The source noted to the outlet that ‘one of the little-known secrets is Jennifer paid for much of their marital expenses and now she feels he owes her’ – and is itemizing the expenses she laid out amid the relationship.

Said the source, ‘Ben took so much money out of her, at least that’s what she’s saying … she’s adding up all those private jet bills she puts on her plastic, the hotels, and meals, clothes, coffee runs, gas.

‘The high cost of living was done on her dime. She paid the lion’s share for that $60 million mansion they bought, too.’

According to a piece from the entertainment website Koi Moi earlier this year, the now-estranged pair had a cumulative net worth estimated at $640 million.

Lopez is mother to twins Emme and Maximilian, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 55; while Affleck is father to children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 52.

Affleck’s demeanor was cited as a reason for the split between the stars, who had famously dated two decades earlier.

‘If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her,’ a source told Dailymail.com last month. ‘Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer … if they saw how it really was, they would not attack her.’

The source added, ‘He chain smokes and cusses and seems irritated a lot of the time. Great director and actor, but not a lot of laughs with him, you know? He is a wonderful father though.’
