Finally winning their 18th NBA Championship after beating the Mavs, the Celtics players are enjoying the view from the mountaintop. The moment has been especially enjoyable for first-time champ Jaylen Brown, who also bagged the Finals MVP trophy over his co-star Jayson Tatum. And riding the wave of success, JB decided to celebrate his victory in an unexpected manner, surprising many. He decided to test his luck some more and was spotted at a casino wearing shades and an all-black outfit.

Interestingly, he also brought his Finals MVP trophy with him and kept it on the table for everyone to see, maybe as a lucky charm, to help him leave with some profit. Very unlike his personality, JB has hardly ever been spotted at a gambling table putting his hard-earned money on the line. Just a couple of days ago, he even threw shade at the bettors who bet against the Celtics winning the title.

Winning his first title, Brown shared two images on his Instagram stories, the first one showing 89% bets picking the Mavs to win and the second one of himself lifting the Finals MVP trophy. While the stories might have been just his way of silencing the critics, it made fans wonder if Brown even knew how betting works. Obviously, the Celtics were bound to have more bets against them because they were -230 favorites to win at FanDuel.

Meanwhile, the Mavs gave +180 odds which would have led to more profit if they won. And maybe the criticism Brown received for not being well versed with the betting economics led to him showing up at a casino with his Finals MVP trophy, to prove the critics wrong once again.

Jaylen Brown was questioned by the community if he has “a competition problem” like Michael Jordan

As Brown sat at the casino table with a poker face ready to gamble some money, fans were left shocked at his new persona and even started making comparisons with Michael Jordan. And comments like “Maybe he more like Jordan than we thought 😭” and “what in the Michael Jordan” started flooding in. Notably, MJ is notoriously famous for his gambling hobby, which even led him to some major controversies during the peak of his playing career. Many even wondered if MJ had a gambling problem, which he denied in an interview with Ahmad Rashad in 1993, “No, I enjoy it’s a hobby… I have a competition problem.”

Meanwhile, many fans also feared that Brown not being experienced enough might lose all his assets to the casino. “Bout to gamble his MVP away 😭😭” and “Bro betting that 300 million on the table 👏” fans wrote, obviously referring to JB’s $303 million contract that will kick in next season, making him the owner of the richest contract in NBA history.

One fan took this opportunity to throw shade at Jayson Tatum saying, “This already harder than anything Tatum tried to do😭” Ever since Boston won, JT has been facing a lot of heat for his quotes and celebrations, with many accusing him of plagiarism. From Kanye’s iconic “I guess we’ll never know.” To Steph’s “What they gonna say now?” after the 2022 finals win, Tatum has used these lines after winning his first title, riling up the fans. And with Brown in this new cool avatar, he is once again making fans believe that he might be the cooler superstar in Boston!
