Emily Ratajkowski hit back at a man yelled at her to ‘put a shirt on’ during a stroll in New York City.

The 33-year-old model and actress took to her TikTok on Tuesday to share a short video of herself walking down the street.

At the very beginning of the eight second clip  she could be seen crossing the street as a man could be heard telling her to ‘put on a shirt.’

It was an interesting comment to make as Emily was, in fact, wearing a grey tank top on the outing.

The clip then ends with Charli xcx hit 365 where the lyrics are: ‘Who the f–k are you? I’m a brat when I’m bumpin’ that. Now I wanna hear my track, are you bumpin’ that?’

Emily captioned the video: ‘Wait for it: man tells me to put on a shirt.’

She also made light of the recent ‘demure’ online trend popularized by TikTok star Jools Lebron.

Emily added to the caption: ‘famously not demure, famously not mindful.’

Just last week Emily became the latest in a long line of stars to say she is ‘decentering men’.

The model and actress joins a number of young people who claim they have ditch romance in favor of a man free life, describing themselves as going ‘boysober’.

On TikTok, thousands of women have avowed to go sober as part of ‘self-care’, with the ritual aiming to provide a year of individual healing outside of the dating world.

And the trend hasn’t just hit disillusioned Gen Z women as a boy-free life has become increasingly popular with even some of the most famed and desired female celebrities opting to ditch men.

In a recent Vogue interview with the writer, Sarah Manguso, Emily confessed that she is choosing to ‘decentralize’ men, insisting that she no longer found the idea of a whirlwind romance interesting.

During the interview, the two discussed the themes of Sarah’s new book, cheating and divorce, with both reflecting on their experiences of love broken by unfaithfulness.

‘Decentralizing men has been a huge part of my life,’ Emily said during the interview.

‘I still love men in many ways, but the Disney fairy tale I had once embraced of being chosen and building a life while being desirable to one man and keeping a man and all that, I just don’t find that interesting anymore.’

Among the reasons for this decision, Emily described the unfair balance of emotional labour she has been juggling in her former relationship.

Julia Fox recently revealed she has opted out of sex with men all together, saying she has been celibate for more than two years to avoid them.

According to online videos, the cleanse is partially motivated by women’s disillusionment with online dating apps such as Hinge, Tinder and Bumble, with one study revealing 90 per cent of Gen Z are dissatisfied by the apps.

Among other celebrities to have sworn off dating men, are Kate Hudson, Britney Spears, and Drew Barrymore.

According to sex therapist at Blueheart, Dr Katherine Hertlein, individuals may go celibate for a variety of reasons.

She told FEMAIL: ‘The choice to be celibate is often closely tied to religious beliefs and practices, but this is not always the case. There is evidence that younger people are having sex with fewer partners.

‘In 2021, a UCLA survey showed 38 per cent of respondents aged 18-30 reported no sexual partners in the past year, up from 22 per cent in 2011.

‘Celibacy can be a healthy choice, depending on your personal reasons and circumstances. It’s important to consider your own needs, values, and well-being.

‘Some find that celibacy helps them focus on personal growth, career goals, or emotional healing,’ she concluded.

Emily – who is the author of her own feminist biography, My Body – was previously married to the film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard with who she shares a son, Sylvester ‘Sly’ Apollo.

Following the birth of their son, Emily said that she found herself lumbered with ‘being the breadwinner while simultaneously organizing our social schedule and being the primary caretaker of our child’.

She said that since marrying and having children, She told Vogue her life had become: ‘suddenly extremely small and less important, less valuable.’
