David Haye fought the likes of Wladimir Klitschko, Tony Bellew and Derek Chisora but he chose a surprising opponent as the biggest puncher he faced.

Haye unified the WBA, WBO and WBC cruiserweight titles against another big puncher in Enzo Maccarinelli in 2008 before making the step up to heavyweight where he faced the ‘gate-keeper, Monte Barrett in an entertaining bout in which he was victorious.

And speaking to The Ring, Haye admitted he was shocked by Barrett’s power and named him as the hardest-hitter he faced.

He said:”I remember him hitting me and being shocked at the difference in punch power between him and the cruiserweights. He was a very heavy-handed guy.
