Including what Jeopardy!’s summer schedule has in store for fans as they await Season 41

In the past, fans got a sneak peek of the upcoming Jeopardy contestants during the end credits.

However, one fan noticed that the producers quietly took that feature away.

“Why are next-day contestants not announced anymore after the game?” one fan questioned on a Jeopardy-themed Reddit forum.

They continued, ” I noticed last night that they stopped announcing the players for the next episode during the closing credits.”

WHY THOUGH?

“That’s a good question,” one person replied.

Another wrote, “No one knows why.

“Maybe due to the Ben Chan absence incident from April 2023 where he was unable to return due to illness?”

At the time, Ben revealed that he wasn’t on the show due to having Covid-19.

“More time for those sweet commercials,” a third theorized.

MAJOR UPSET

ABC typically showcases reruns during the summer until new episodes return in the fall.

The Season 40 finale aired on July 26 and is on a six-week hiatus until Season 41 begins on September 6.

When the break began, the Jeopardy social media accounts shared the rerun schedule.

For the first three weeks, fans can rewatch the Tournament of Champions that aired earlier this year – which was won by Yogesh Raut.

Beginning the week of August 19, viewers can watch the inaugural Invitational Tournament – won by Victoria Groce.

‘NO MORE TOURNAMENT EPISODES!’

However, fans were left upset as the ToC would not be shown in full and would have rather rewatched the best episodes of the season.

“I wish they would replay really old episodes during this time,” one wrote.

Another added, “They’re not rerunning the first 3 TOC games, which includes Cris Pannullo’s upset.”

A third wrote, “Not more tournament episodes!!!!

“The seemingly years long continuous run of tournaments that just ended a few months ago has left a bitter taste in my mouth.”

Season 41 of Jeopardy is set to air up until July 2025.
