Plus, a first glimpse of Ryan and Vanna filming Wheel of Fortune Season 42

WHEEL of Fortune letter-turner Vanna White has reminisced over her time on set with her former co-host, Pat Sajak, ahead of the show’s upcoming season.

Vanna, 67, will be joined by new host Ryan Seacrest, 49, for Season 42 of Wheel of Fortune starting September 9.

Over the past four decades, Vanna has shared the stage with longtime host Pat Sajak, 77.

Pat announced his retirement last year, and his final episode of the long-running game show aired in June.

ME AND YOU, PAT

On Thursday, Vanna shared a photo on her Instagram Stories reading the Wheel of Fortune tribute issue of TV Guide Magazine.

The host smiled as she held the magazine open, featuring photos of her and Pat on the front and back covers.

“Farewell, Pat Sajak,” the special issue read.

Vanna declared in text that she was doing some “light reading on her break,” noting that the show is currently on hiatus until its September premiere.

“Don’t forget to pick up the special @wheeloffortune tribute issue of @tvguidemagazine before it’s gone!” she told followers.

The photo comes shortly after it was rumored that Ryan and Vanna struggled to find the same chemistry she and Pat had on the show.

IN HIS NEW ERA

Fans of the game show have patiently been awaiting the new season, although many have shown they aren’t too excited about Ryan taking over Pat’s position.

The 49-year-old has plenty of experience hosting, however.

Wheel of Fortune reveals first look of Ryan Seacrest on set with contestants and walking out arm-in-arm with Vanna White
He has emceed American Idol since its inception in 2002 and has his own radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

Most recently, Ryan declared he was focusing on the next chapter of his life with WoF.

A new video shared on Instagram on Friday showed ABC journalist Christie Ileto receiving a PR package from Ryan to promote his “new era” as the game show’s host.

The box was labeled “RSTLNE,” which stood for “Ryan Seacrest To Launch New Era.”

It included plenty of Wof-themed gifts, such as a mug, umbrella, socks, and a pin.

FIRST GLIMPSE

Earlier this week, Wheel of Fortune shared a first look at Ryan on the game show’s set.

The show released a teaser clip for the new season, which featured footage from the first episodes with its new host.

He was seen walking arm-in-arm with Vanna and onstage celebrating with winning contestants.

“Are you ready to be part of a new era on Wheel? We’re looking for new great contestants to play for big money with Ryan and Vanna. Go to WheelofFortune.com and apply today,” a voiceover said.

After the video was spread online, some fans noticed a change in the show’s set.

“All of these clips (except the very first one with the woman at the red podium) are from Ryan’s first taped episodes, before the set change,” one person pointed out.

Others showed excitement for Ryan’s newest gig and hoped others would “give him a chance.”
