Lakers’ rookie Bronny James has multiple doubters who have not been satisfied with his performance in the ongoing Summer League. Bronny was expected to live up to his James surname when the young guard entered the league. However, he has yet to make an impactful performance in the Summer League.

Among the many remarks Bronny has received in the past few days, the recent one came from Jaylen Brown. However, his father’s agent, Rich Paul, came quickly to his defense.

Brown was caught sharing his opinion about Bronny during his courtside appearance in the Celtics win. The lip readers on social media caught the swingman allegedly saying Bronny was “not a pro” in a viral video, which reached Paul’s ears, and he now has defended the young Lakers player.

Paul got a fair chance to speak about the matter on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Addressing the criticism of Bronny, Paul said, “I saw some stuff that came out about Jaylen Brown, things like that. You can’t take what everybody’s opinion is and try to turn it against them or think that he’s a bad person, or the young lady that was accompanying him was a bad person.”

Paul further acknowledged Brown’s enormous success in the NBA Finals and said his remark could push Bronny to strive for better. He also asked him to give some more time to the 19-year-old, who hadn’t found his rhythm yet.

Bronny James’ performance against the Celtics

After a series of failures in the California Classic Summer League games, Bronny James recorded another average performance against the Boston Celtics.

Bronny was allowed to be on the hardwood for 25 minutes, during which he grabbed three rebounds and dished out an assist. However, he could manage to contribute only two points. The former USC point guard tried to hit three deep shots, but none were successful.
