Zaccharie Risacher, widely touted as the top prospect in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, shared his admiration for several NBA and EuroLeague players he looks up to for inspiration.

“[In the NBA] Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry. In Europe, I would say Sergio Llull, Chacho Rodriguez, and Will Clyburn. There are a lot of players,” he said.

With just one day remaining until draft night, Risacher reflected on the possibility of joining his countryman Victor Wembanyama, last year’s top pick by the San Antonio Spurs, who hold the fourth pick this year.

“That would be great. Victor is a great player, and I think it would be great to share the pool with him,” Risacher noted. “He makes everybody look better around him, and that’s what a great player does. That would be great, I don’t know what to say other than that.”

This past season, Risacher helped JL Bourg reach the EuroCup Finals for the first time in club history by averaging 11.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a PIR of 10.0 in less than 24 minutes per night. He led all EuroCup players in the regular season in three-point percentage, hitting 32 of his 57 shots from downtown (56.1%).

The NBA draft will take place over two days in New York, June 26 and 27. The first round will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, followed by the second round the next day at the ESPN studio in Lower Manhattan.
