Stephen A. Smith rips into Kelly Stafford for apparently disrespecting her husband and the Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. During the recent episode of his podcast The Stephen A. Smith Show, the veteran sports analyst/critic questioned Kelly’s motives for putting her marriage in jeopardy.

How is it that you all know that men have egos? And males are ego dominant? But you forget that when it comes to your man! What could possibly make you… if you are Mrs. Stafford, what could possibly make you think that it’s okay for you to go home after revealing to the public, ‘I kicked it with his backup'.

Stephen A. Smith ranted

Last week while appearing on the ‘Off the Vines’ podcast hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe, Kelly Stafford disclosed that to get back at Matthew for ignoring her advances, she started dating his Georgia Bulldogs backup Joe Cox. It worked for the media personality because Stafford caved in eventually.

Smith further disputed her intention of bringing up the story now after a decade of being married with four daughters, 7-year-old twins Chandler and Sawyer, Hunter, 5, and Tyler, 3.

What possible… possible advantage could you peel from that with a husband who you have four kids with?

Matthew Stafford is a Super Bowl winner and a guaranteed future Hall of Famer. To reveal something so private after so long puts a question mark on her loyalty.

There are always a couple of romantic relationships before settling down with the right person. However, people usually don’t go the Kelly route and announce on media that they had to date another guy to make another man jealous so that they could fall for her.

Smith said it was foolish on her part, but refused to call her a bad person. The ESPN veteran who wants a raise in his yearly income, claimed meeting Kelly Stafford once and that she’s a nice lady.

I am not casting an aspersion on her character or anything like that and I would never disrespect Matthew Stafford’s wife or anyone else’s wife. I am just making the point. What would make you think that’s okay? Why would you do that?

Stephen A. Smith concluded

Stafford remains mum about the entire revelation. Perhaps he had moved on from all of this a long time ago. On the other hand, Kelly shared a video of the two bungee-jumping with the caption “If you aren’t tempting death, then you aren’t living” a few days after her interview went viral.

Regardless, the Rams and Stafford remain busy with the training. They will kick off the 2024 NFL campaign with a trip to Stafford’s former side, the Detroit Lions, on September 8.
