The 2010s era in the NBA saw two particular stars dominate the most, the current Los Angeles Lakers star man LeBron James, and the Golden State Warriors star, Stephen Curry. James and Curry went head to head in that particular decade, sharing many championships between them. Notably, leaked audio from their fourth Finals encounter in 2018 highlighted how viciously James trash-talked Curry for blocking a floater, highlighting the pinnacle of their rivalry.

Following the 2016 Finals, James and Curry were expected to have one of the greatest individual rivalries of the 2010s era because both players had achieved championships at the expense of the other. However, the Warriors went on to snap up Kevin Durant in their roster, which ended James and his Cavs side’s hopes of winning the NBA, as the Warriors went on to win the 2017 and 2018 NBA titles.

Interestingly, in the leaked audio of the 2018 Finals, LeBron James said,  “Get that sh*t out of here… do that somewhere else” To which Curry responds, saying, “You couldn’t give me that?” James lashes out at Curry, saying, “Get the f*ck out of my face.” Despite James trash-talking Curry and his Warriors side, the Warriors clinched the 2018 NBA title.

Also, despite being swept, James averaged 34.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 10.0 assists over the series. Many people believe he should have earned MVP of the Finals. Curry finished the Finals with an average of 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, but Kevin Durant was named MVP.

Stephen Curry and LeBron James have had a lot of memories as arch-rivals on the court in the 2010s. Their most prized memory is arguably the 2018 trash talk between James and Curry in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals, which the Warriors won. On the contrary, Curry seemed to have the last laugh at James and his trash-talk as his Warriors side swept the Cleveland Cavaliers and James in the 2018 NBA Finals. Also, the Warriors and Curry were on a different level back then.
