Boston Celtics’ star Jaylen Brown just produced one of the most violent dunks you’ll ever see in the NBA Finals. Just after the start of the fourth quarter of game 3, Brown decided to go full Michael Jordan on the Mavericks defense, and he did it in spectacular fashion.

The Celtics went into the game’s final quarter with a 15-point lead. Right on the first play of the fourth quarter, Jaylen Brown decided to drive through the heart of the Mavs defense, and so he did with a tough bucket. He rode through 4 Mavs bodies, including Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Josh Green, and PJ Washington, for a massive dunk that had the Celtics bench in splits.

Incidentally, this was the only play in which the Celtics scored from midway through the third quarter to a considerable amount of the fourth, with the Mavs going 22-2 at one point. The game turned into a three-point game, but after Luka Doncic was fouled out, the home team’s resistance faded away.

Jaylen Brown and Celtics Inch Closer to NBA Title

Wednesday night was a massive one for the Celtics in terms of their championship chase. With a 106-99 win in game 3, the Boston side needs one win to clinch the series and the 18th Larry O’Brien trophy. Jaylen Brown had yet another smashing outing, with 24 of his 30 points coming in the second half.

Brown went 30-8-8 on the night from 12-22 field goal shooting to drive his team to the finish line. Jayson Tatum led the scoring for the Cs with his 31-point game but went cold in the second half, and that’s when Brown stepped up.

After the game, a courtside reporter caught up with Jaylen Brown, who made his feelings clear after going 3-0 up in the series. When asked about the need for one win to secure the championship, Brown kept it short by saying, “Stay in the moment.” The 27-year-old talked about living in the moment with a smile on his face and expressed his appreciation for being there.

The potential title decider will be played on the same venue on Friday and with the Mavs having one foot in the grave, Jaylen Brown and Co. will be highly obliged to push them fully into the hole to walk out of the American Airlines Center with their first championship since 2008. Brown who is fresh off an ECF MVP award could add the NBA Finals MVP to his resume as the guard looks in the zone to see this through.
