James Harden, the star player for the Los Angeles Clippers, is widely regarded as one of the greatest scorers and shooting guards in NBA history. During the 2023-24 NBA season, the 34-year-old displayed stellar performances, including a season-high 35 points on December 18 in a 151-127 win over the Indiana Pacers. However, the Beard, who was recently criticized by Kendrick Perkins, got a deficient rating in the NBA 2K25 game.

During an interview with Jason Bristol of KHOU 11 News in Houston, Harden was asked about his 84 rating in the NBA 2K video game. In response, the Clippers star expressed his reaction to the low NBA 2K rating and mentioned that he was unaware of it. Additionally, Harden stated that he is unfazed by the rating and is confident that he will showcase his full potential on the court during the upcoming NBA season.

“Nah, I don’t [know my rating]. Imma show ‘em on the court. I don’t really care about my rating.” Harden said.

According to Harden’s statement, it is evident that he is more focused on proving his value on the court rather than in a video game.

James Harden’s Declining Stats and Performance

Harden, who was selected with the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, has recently completed his 15th season in the NBA. After being drafted, the 10-time NBA All-Star significantly improved his game season by season.

During his time with the Houston Rockets, Harden became a dominating scorer, especially during the 2018-19 season when he averaged 36.1 points per game. Additionally, he was honored as the NBA Most Valuable Player in the 2018 NBA season.

However, in recent years, James Harden’s statistics and performances have noticeably declined as he moved from the Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets in 2021, then to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2022, and finally to the Clippers in 2023. NBA insider Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report also highlighted Harden’s decline in his latest reports.

“Shuttling between the Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and LA Clippers, Harden’s numbers have declined. He’s been disruptive, unavailable, and in increasingly poor shape during a span that has included no fewer than three trade requests.” Hughes wrote in his reports.

Harden re-signed with the Clippers on July 10, 2024, for a two-year deal worth $70 million. Just two months left until the NBA season begins, and fans are eagerly anticipating Harden’s performance.
