A disturbing video of Luka Doncic hitting a Boston Celtics fan with a wild insult has surfaced following the Dallas Maverick’s NBA Finals loss.
The Mavericks bowed out to the Celtics on Monday night after extending the series last week, with Boston winning 106-88 to oust the Mavs in five games and earn their first championship since the 2008 season and their 18th overall.
Doncic cut a frustrated figure throughout the night and, at one point, clapped back at a fan who told him he was tired, insulting his mother.
Check it out in the video below:
Ouch!
Luka Doncic Played The Finals Injured
“It doesn’t matter if I was hurt, how much was I hurt. I was out there,” he told a reporter after he was asked how much he was hurt. “Tried to play. I didn’t do enough.”
The guard scored 28 points in Game 5, adding 12 rebounds, five assists, and three steals. He shot 12-of-25 from the field and 2-of-9 from three in 48 minutes.
Clearly, it wasn’t enough to buy Dallas another game.
The Slovenian will be keen on returning to the finals following Monday’s disappointment, having made it to the last hurdle for the first time in his six-year spell with the Mavericks.
Doncic had another stellar campaign for the team, averaging 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 1.4 steals. He also shot 48.7 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from three during the regular season.
