After a decade-long tenure, Klay Thompson’s era with the Golden State Warriors has come to an end. It led to significant roster changes this offseason. In response to Thompson’s departure, the Warriors added Kyle Anderson, Buddy Hield, and De’Anthony Melton to their roster, aiming to boost competitiveness alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

The shake-up was necessary following Thompson’s frustrated exit, but questions remained about whether the Warriors’ stars were happy with the new roster. According to an ESPN report, both Curry and Green are thrilled with the team’s decision.

Both stars say they are excited about the moves Golden State has made so far this summer,” the report read.

The Warriors also sought individual input from Curry and Green regarding the roster changes. However, Curry preferred to let the team make the decisions.

Steph has said, ‘Look, I do not want to be making those decisions. It puts me in a different spot than all of my teammates. I do not want that,’” a source told ESPN.

Buddy Hield is Ready to Fill Klay Thompson’s Role with the Golden State Warriors

With Klay Thompson heading to Dallas to join the Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors have found their sharpshooting replacement in Buddy Hield. Thompson, who played a pivotal role in the Warriors’ four championship wins, leaves big shoes to fill.

Despite the challenge of stepping into Thompson’s role, Hield is unfazed.

“I loved watching him over the years; he’s special. The way he can get hot and the way he can change the game, the two-way player he is, the championship player he is,” Hield said.

So I don’t look at it as pressure, but I think it’ll be fun just being in that role and seeing if I can get the same looks he got,” he added.

Thompson’s move to the Mavericks sees him teaming up with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Meanwhile, the Warriors are optimistic about Hield’s ability to contribute similarly. It will remain to be seen which team benefits most from these offseason trades.
