The star player of the Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard, was initially chosen to represent the United States in an international competition to play for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, he was later replaced by Boston Celtics guard Derrick White.
Throughout his NBA career, Leonard, who was recently spotted partying in Vegas, has faced several injuries. These injury setbacks have led to criticism from NBA analysts and fans on multiple occasions. Recently, during an episode of First Take, host Stephen A. Smith made bold statements regarding the injuries that Leonard has experienced in his professional career.
“Nobody misses more games than Kawhi Leonard… Kawhi Leonard invents ways to get hurt.” Smith said.
Smith stated that Leonard creates ways to get injured and asserted that Leonard misses more games than any other player.
Smith’s Shocking Comments for Leonard Spark Outrage Among NBA Fans
Smith’s remark was not well-received by the fans, leading to heavy criticism. NBA fans voiced their opinions in the comment section of the post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
One fan supported Leonard while criticizing Smith, saying, “He can’t go a day without hating on Kawhi. He only does it because he knows Kawhi won’t respond.”
