Back in the day, May was just May, and June was just June. Nowadays, May is still just May, but June is also pride month.

As such, people, governments, organizations, franchises, and other entities recognize it as that. Pride month has also significantly impacted the sporting world, with all of the major American leagues including it in their signage around this time of year.

The NFL is no different. Multiple NFL teams have shown their support for the LGBTQ community on social media in their own way. The Washington Commanders said pride month was all about love, while other teams such as the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles have filled out their logos with pride colors.

A report from OutKick has pointed out that 11 teams ignored pride month over the weekend.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons have all avoided making any changes or sending any messages via social media acknowledging the movement.

They also noted that all AFC East and NFC West teams have shown support for pride month in some way.

Why The Chiefs Stand Out Among The NFL Teams To Ignore Pride Month

The Chiefs stand out in the list of teams who have so far refused to acknowledge said community this month, given that they employ kicker Harrison Butker.

Butker went viral last month after lashing out at the LBGTQ community and pride month, branding the latter a sin.

Following all of the backlash he’s received, seeing his team change their logo to match pride month or tweet out support for something he is so very much against would have probably stung.
