On Thursday, the Green Bay Packers revealed its all-white helmets players will wear.

All-white uniforms have become increasingly popular in recent years, so the Packers are jumping on that bandwagon.

The Green Bay Packers white alternate helmets are set to debut during the “Winter Warning” game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Oct. 20.

According to the Green Bay Packers statement, the special game will encourage fans to wear white to create a blizzard-like atmosphere at Lambeau Field.

As you can see, the new helmets feature a white face mask and shell which has been adorned with the classic dark green Packers “G” logo and stripes.

The alternate uniform combination with the helmets will include white jerseys, pants, and socks.

The Packers’ use of white helmets has a historical precedent. The team noted in its statement that they first wore them with green jerseys and white pants in 1956.

It will be strange watching the Packers take to the field without their famous gold helmets, but updates are never a bad thing.

Love it or hate it, new alternate uniforms are on the way for the Packers, and they just might be here to stay for good.

Green Bay Packers Aren’t The Only Team With New White Helmets

On Thursday, the Green Bay Packers revealed its all-white helmets players will wear during their game against the Houston Texans.

Having all white in uniforms has become so popular that many teams have done it.

This is a direct result of the NFL loosening rules governing alternates.

Teams such as the Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, and Jacksonville Jaguars have added white helmets as alternates.
