Following the Lakers’ harrowing series loss to the Nuggets in the first-round of the playoffs, D’Angelo Russell has put his vacation mode on. A lot has been changing in his life, from hair color to the number of family members, as his girlfriend, Laura Ivaniukas, is in her 8th month of pregnancy.

After adopting the changes in her body, Laura was seen enjoying the sunny Miami beaches. In her latest Instagram post, she shared an update of her vacay life with son Riley. The mother-son duo were seen waving at the camera, standing just clear of the waves.

D’Angelo Russell and Laura started dating in 2020 and welcomed their son Riley in 2022. After another two years, the couple are ready to welcome a baby girl as the Russell family is set to become 4 from 3 in July.

Speaking of the future, there is a considerable number of question marks over D’Angelo’s future with the gold and purple brigade.

D’Angelo Russell Could Be on the Move

D’Angelo Russell signed a new Lakers contract in 2023 and has a player option on his 2-year deal. Russell can opt out of his $18.6 million to hit free agency this summer and there is a considerable amount of interest in the former Nets guard.

The Orlando Magic are one of the sides interested in bringing the guard on board. But recently, the Pistons emerged as a strong favorite to land him. The cap space is a factor and the motor city has a lot of it left. Providing a lucrative contract would not be a problem for them and Russell even expressed his desire to make the most of his current contract situation to raise his stocks. His Lakers teammates, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves want him to continue with the Lakers, but that might seem unlikely.

For the Lakers, the bigger concerns are bringing in a new head coach and keeping hold of LeBron James is also perilously close to delving into free agency. Given the cap space of the Lakers, signing both LeBron and Russell could prove to be a problem and, in that case, everyone knows who will be the one staying.
