Philadelphia Flyers forward Cam Atkinson has reportedly rejected a trade to the San Jose Sharks as GM Dan Briere is trying to off-load salaries going into the off-season.

The Cam Atkinson era in Philadelphia is coming to an end, after he was traded back in 2021 from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Jakob Voracek.

Atkinson, is making 5M dollars for another three years. According to Darren Dreger, the forward has reportedly rejected a move to the San Jose Sharks in the last few weeks, which makes a trade even harder because of his no movement clause. Shall a trade not be on the horizon, a buyout may be looming for the veteran forward.

The Flyers are trying to trade F Cam Atkinson, and there is interest from the San Jose Sharks. However, Atkinson isn’t interested in a trade to SJ. Per, Darren Dreger.

Buyout remains an option this offseason.

The Flyers continue to explore options around veteran Cam Atkinson. SJ has trade interest, but sources say Atkinson isn’t keen on a move to the Sharks. Philly will eat a good chunk of the final year of his contract. Buyout is also an option, as is keeping him in the mix
