The Baltimore Ravens are slated to be one of the most competitive teams in the NFL in the upcoming 2024 season after making one of the most significant moves this off-season, bringing in star running back Derek Henry.
The Ravens’ defensive group remains one of the most feared in the NFL. However, after he commented on Olympic standouts Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, Pro Bowl corner Marlon Humphrey now has to play a different defense.
Biles and Chiles were photographed praising Brazilian Olympian Rebeca Andrade after she beat out the two for the gold medal during the women’s floor routines, and it’s safe to say Humphrey was not too impressed with the move.
The praise from Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles came after Andrade had fought hard to come back after injuring her ACL three times before taking gold in Tokyo, something Humphrey, being an athlete himself, was apparently not aware of.
Marlon Humphrey Is Getting Chewed Out On Social Media For His Simone Biles Comment
One fan gave it to the three-time NFL Pro Bowler, commenting, ” Yeah, because giving someone their flowers who has come back from THREE ACL tears to continue to be a top gymnast is disgusting,” a sarcastic move on their part.
The Ravens’ standout corner has since made another post on X referencing that he is “getting cooked.” He also pointed out that he believes he is getting “cussed out in Brazilian on Instagram,” which could be very accurate.
Even on the tweet referencing the shade being thrown his way, fans still weren’t happy. One fan pointed out that the Ravens’ standout is “getting cooked for bad sportsmanship” after the comments that fans view in bad taste.
No apology has come from the Ravens’ star just yet, and fans continue to be upset. Biles has not released a statement on Humphrey’s words as she continues to dominate on the world stage in Paris while the Baltimore Ravens continue to prepare for the upcoming season.
