Another quarterback named by panel as being most trustworthy when chips are down
FIRST Take host Molly Qerim clearly isn’t backing down on her stance that Dak Prescott is not the best quarterback in the NFC.
Having joklngly stormed off set on Thursday’s show, Qerim again suggested on Friday’s show that Prescott wouldn’t be NFC quarterback she would go to first if the Super Bowl was on the line.

Qerim has recently been away on vacation for two weeks, with First Take not even going on air for the first three days of this week due to ESPN’s coverage of Wimbledon.
But in typical Molly fashion, she soon made up for lost time, jokingly walking off set on Thursday during a debate over Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
She was joined by Courtney Cronin, Harry Douglas, and Bart Scott in the ESPN studios.
The panel was asked who they believed was the best quarterback currently playing in the NFC.
Douglas, a former NFL wideout, stated very clearly he believed it was Dallas Cowboys play-caller Prescott.
“For me, it’s Dak,” he said. “He’s top two when it comes to touchdowns, quarterback rating. He’s third in passing yards.
“You look at his athleticism and we saw more of that last year. Using his legs to extend plays.”
“You think Dak Prescott is the best quarterback in the NFC?” interrupted an incredulous Molly.
“Are we talking regular season or are we talking playoffs?” she asked.
“I’m talking period. I think Dak Prescott is No 1,” Douglas replied.
Molly seemed to be getting increasingly agitated and asked Douglas if he would trust Prescott in a Super Bowl with the “game on the line.”
“I got him America!” she yelled, as Douglas fired back, “That’s not the question.”
“I’m leaving!” Molly eventually shouted, striding off set and watching a portion of the debate from behind the cameras.
She returned moments later, having dramatically made her point.
Not all fans were delighted with Molly however, seeing it as a pivot from the original question.

“Question began as best QB in the NFC, then, because she didn’t like the answer he gave, she modifies the question and throws in playoff success. Playoffs are won by teams, not individual players,” one fan said.
“It’s unfair to talk about playoffs, it should just be about the quality of the player. The question was changed here,” another fan said.
“Molly is great, but you can tell when she just doesn’t like someone else’s opinion,” a third fan said.
But despite the detractors, Molly is clearly in no mood to back down.
She again claimed on Friday’s show that Prescott wouldn’t be the man to call on with the Super Bowl up for grabs.
Friday’s panel suggested Matthew Stafford, who led the Los Angeles Rams to Super Bowl glory in 2022, would be a more reliable performer when the chips are down.
