Michael Bunting, a beloved former player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, had some fantastic, life-altering news to share with the world over the weekend.

Bunting happily got married over the weekend to his long-time sweetheart Jordan McDonell. Several former players, including current ones of the Leafs were in attendance. Bunting posted some lovely photos on his 24-hour Instagram story too.

Bunting began last season with the Carolina Hurricanes and was traded at the deadline to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He put up 19 points in the final 21 games of the season he played with Pittsburgh as they attempted to make a run at the playoffs, which ultimately fell short.

Bunting was also reunited with Kyle Dubas, who was the GM of the Leafs at the time that Bunting was on the team. Dubas pushed for Bunting to be on the top line with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner during the 2021-22 season, which really got his career going, so for that Bunting is forever grateful to Dubas.

Bunting’s cap hit is only $4.5 million for the next two seasons, so he can provide some great value and help the Penguins make a push towards the playoffs next season.

A big congratulations to the Buntings, and here’s to a long loving life together and many great seasons ahead!
