The couple have reportedly divorced after two years of marriage

Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

The actress reportedly filed legal documents on Tuesday (August 20) in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

According to TMZ, they were not filed by a lawyer, but by pro per which means Lopez did it herself without an attorney.

Moreover, Lopez reportedly listed their date of separation as April 26, 2024.

The documents filed also allegedly don’t indicate whether or not there is a prenuptial agreement between the couple.

This would mean that whatever earnings Affleck and Lopez made during their two years of marriage would be considered community property.

The documents also allegedly reveal that Lopez waived spousal support and is asking the judge to deny Affleck such support as well.

The couple had tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony on July 16, 2022. They proceeded to have a traditional wedding ceremony in Savannah, Georgia on August 20, 2022.

Lopez seems to have filed the divorce papers on the ceremony’s two-year anniversary.

The pair had been at the epicenter of divorce rumors for some time, though nothing was allegedly confirmed until now.

This marks Lopez’s fourth marriage and Affleck’s second. They don’t share children together so it seems that there will not be any custody issues ahead.
