Ryan Reynolds released a secret Deadpool scene which pointed to a hint as to one character’s fate
The film may have come out over a month ago, but even more details are emerging about Deadpool and Wolverine.
Ryan Reynolds, the star and creative force behind the series, has been posting behind the scenes details about the movie in the last week or so.
These have ranged from gushing about his friends Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy to revealing more details about Rob McElhenney’s cut cameo.

The Deadpool actor has today revealed the biggest detail of all yet though, and hinted that a beloved character brought in for the film may yet have a life beyond the ending.
Here’s the hidden scene that Ryan Reynolds posted, see if you can figure out what it is – and whether you recognise it, as it was hidden in the actual final release of the film:

The scene hints that Channing Tatum’s Ragin’ Cajun Gambit could be set to make further appearances as the character.
Tatum played the role in Deadpool and Wolverine after being attached to the role for years, with him being slated to play the role as early as 2006.
After numerous directors and writers being attached to the project over the years, Tatum’s dream was almost coming to fruition with crew being brought on board and location scouting undertaken.

Just as the flick looked set to happen, Disney bought Fox, leaving the film in development hell, before it was eventually shuttered.
The scene Reynolds posted seemingly confirms that not only did Gambit survive the end to the film, which is left vague, but that he may be joining the MCU.
This is due to a reflection in his eye showing a sling ring portal, the magical portals created with magic in the MCU.
In the replies below the video, which he posted with the caption: “*whispers* Marvel Sparkle Circle”, Reynolds explained how the scene is actually in the film, even if you and I have no memory of it.

He said: “A version of the sequence is in the film — on one of the monitors in the deep background of the TVA”.
Fans in replies on Twitter pointed out that this took place in the post-credits scene, where Deadpool returns to the TVA to show a hidden scene of Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm.

Tatum has expressed interest in bringing a standalone Gambit film to the MCU, saying in an interview with Variety: “I’ve been saying I want it for the last 10 years. It’s in Bob Iger and Kevin Feige’s hands. I pray to God.”

Following Deadpool and Wolverine’s record breaking box office debut, in which it became the most financially successful R-Rated film of all time, Tatum posted on social media saying: “I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But [Ryan Reynolds] fought for me and Gambit.
“I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me. I love ya buddy.”
