Today the St. Louis Blues announced the return of Brian Elliott to their organization in a new role now that his playing career has ended.

The St. Louis Blues have welcomed back long time starting goalie Brian Elliott to their organization. Today it was announced that he will join the team as a goaltending scout and development coach.

Welcome back Brian Elliott. Goaltending scout and development coach.

He will likely be in charge of looking at goalies in the NHL Draft and evaluating which ones the St. Louis Blues will consider. He also will be able to work with the goalies throughout the St. Louis Blues organization both at the NHL and AHL level.Brian Elliott will bring over a decade of experience to the coaching staff that new head coach Drew Bannister is building.

In his playing career, Brian Elliott suited up for the St. Louis Blues, Philadelphia Flyers, and Tampa Bay Lightning. As the season starts up it will be interesting to see how involved with the day to day operations of the team Brian Elliott becomes.
