As fans have grown concerned over his absence since the 2024 NHL Draft, rumors have circulated that Jeff Marek quit his role with the 32 Thoughts Podcast.

The culture of NHL fan analyses and the understanding of the inner workings of the league would not be where they are today without the 32 Thoughts Podcast.

This production has been made possible by the Insider knowledge of Elliotte Friedman and the effective host and secondary analyst Jeff Marek, both of whom were instrumental in sharing details during this year’s playoffs.

“🏒 New 32 Thoughts Podcast 🏒

@JeffMarek and @FriedgeHNIC recap Game 6 between Edmonton and Dallas, dive into the depth of Florida’s roster, discuss the puck that seemingly lit up in the Eastern Conference Final and more! ”

However, Elliotte Friedman has flown solo on the podcast lately, taking over all the offseason discussion. Marek was last heard on the podcast for the 2024 NHL Draft, just before the cancellation of the free agency edition.

“Random question but wtf happened to Jeff Marek and why has he suddenly fell off the face of the earth. They never did the wrap up 32 thoughts podcast. He hasn’t been publicly heard from since the draft”

Jeff Marek has worked with Sportsnet since 2011 in various capacities, but it seems that his issues with the company may have been too much to handle during the summer.

Hopefully, he is just enjoying a well-deserved vacation ahead of the upcoming NHL season. If not we may bee looking for a replacement co-host on the 32 Thoughts Podcast.
