Fans had the same reaction regarding a rumor that Miley Cyrus may headline the Super Bowl 59 halftime show in New Orleans, Louisiana next year.
According to Gambling.com, Miley Cyrus is the betting favorite to headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. She has +137.5 odds (a 42.1 percent probability, with Taylor Swift a distant second (+200, 33.3 percent probability).
Many were surprised to see the relatively low odds for Ariana Grande, who’s listed at +700 (an 11.1 percent probability). Grande has experience performing on the NFL stage, having sung the national anthem for the Seattle Seahawks-Green Bay Packers NFL Kickoff Game back in 2014.
Many fans were stunned to see that Miley Cyrus had the best odds, and that Ariana Grande quite low on the list:
There was speculation last summer that Miley Cyrus would be chosen to perform at the Super Bowl 58 halftime show this past February in Las Vegas, Nevada. Usher was announced as the headliner, with the likes of Alicia Keys, Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri performing as special guests.
The Hannah Montana star performed at the TikTok Tailgate event ahead of Super Bowl 55 in Tampa Bay, Florida three years ago. Miley Cyrus performed with Billy Idol at an event with limited spectators because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Super Bowl 59 is set for Feb. 9, 2025. This will be the eighth Super Bowl contest played in the legendary Superdome.
Miley Cyrus Would Draw Massive Ratings For SB 59 Show
The 31-year-old Cyrus is one of the top-selling music artists of her generation, having sold more than 20 million albums globally. Her popularity spans multiple generations, making her an excellent choice to headline the Super Bowl 59 halftime show.
Taylor Swift has also long been rumored as a possible option as well. Her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has brought plenty more attention and coverage to the NFL, so don’t be surprised if the league goes with her.
