The past year has been a whirlwind for Caitlin Clark as she’s seen her stardom take off like even she likely never could have imagined.
After taking her Iowa Hawkeyes to the national championship game and then becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark has now become a sensation in the sports world, getting talked about every day on sports talk shows and having her image plastered up around the nation in marketing campaigns.
The latest advertisement she is a part of with Gatorade has been subject to some backlash and jokes, though.
On Friday, the sports drink company unveiled a new massive billboard for Clark with the long-used slogan “Is It In You?”
This is a slogan that Gatorade has used for decades, so it’s nothing crazy for those who are familiar. However, the younger audience on social media is taking the euphemism and running with it.
I’m sure that Clark is getting a big enough paycheck from Gatorade that she isn’t concerned with the opinions of the juvenile fans poking fun at this, but it’s still entertaining to watch play out.
